Bending

ROLLA-V Dies

Rolla V dies are distinguished from the traditional ones by the presence of the 2 oscillating rotors on which the sheet rests before the bending phase.

Are your tools sharpened?

Tools sharpening can give back to a punch all characteristics as first purchased. We can get more than double of the hits compared to a punch not sharpened. For being able to get the higher tool performance, you have to regrind once the corner radius on punch tip is around 0,15mm - .005".

How to prevent slug pulling?

Why does the slug go up? Suction cup effect between punch and scrap, the oil acts as a glue, magnetic attraction or the burr clings to the edge of the punch.

How to prevent galling?

Excessive heat, incorrect die clearance and lack of lubrication are the most common causes. Galled Punches cause stripping problems, poor hole quality and accelerated tool wear.

How to correctly place sheet metal?

B-SNIPER a solution that draws a visible laser beam on the sheet metal to simulate the bending line. Ideal to produce all types of profiles whereby the proper sheet metal positioning against the backgauges is difficult...

How about having 7 dies in 1 tool?

Rolleri Vario can be mounted on any press brake model. It can be adapted to any machine table thanks to 1000mm - 39.37" units; these reduced lenghts enable the regulations of sector even individually. 7 dies in one single tool (50 - 75 - 100 - 125 - 150 - 175 - 200mm) (1.96"-2.95"-3.93"-4.92"-5.90"-6.88"-7.87") . Rotors system that brings a reduction of necessary force of 25-30%

How much important is a good heat treatment?

Rolleri uses powder type high speed steel for punch body. Structure of this material is very much fine and does not have unevenness of ingredient. Shock resistant ratio is double strong and frictional wear is 50% better than standard high speed steel (HSS). Rolleri uses improved D2 steel for die. This material has twice of spring character and hardness is higher than general D2 steel. (HRC 58 to 60) Also much better anti-chipping and crack than standard D2 steel. This improved D2 steel has good performance for wire EDM because material does not have residual stress in the material.

Hardening - Types and resistances

Rolleri standard tools are induction hardened. The most relevant characteristics the surface hardness, which can reach 60HRC and the penetration capacity of the treatment which can reach a depth of 4mm in the material.

Gaps and windows

All standard tools can be modified to allow bending operations to be managed without collisions. The changes are for both punches and dies. In addition to the geometric modification, recalculation of the max. load per meter is essential. Production according to your specifications
